Catastrophic Health Planners, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping clients through the obstacles posed by catastrophic health problems.
Lou Yeager was diagnosed with cancer in 1986 and given six months to live. Doctors advised him that because of the nature of the disease, radiation or chemotherapy would only reduce the disease temporarily, and then it would come back with deadly consequences. The doctors thought that watchful waiting would be the best approach.
After surviving a bone marrow transplant in 1991, Lou developed Catastrophic Health Planners, Inc. in 1993. Today, as President and Executive Director of CHP, he continues his mission of improving the quality of life for others facing catastrophic health problems.
